roommate date fiasco

Great news. I just came home from the temple (subtle mention of my righteous behavior) and my roommate was on a DATE. She gave me the dish and I had to share it with you!

So on Sunday we were driving home from church and we got stopped at a red light. She was driving and rolled down her window to talk to the boy in the car next to us. Then she asked him ON A DATE! She is amazing.

Tonight she is making dinner for their date and she gets a message from some lady she met two weeks ago at the nail salon while she was getting a pedicure and apparently they already had plans for dinner tonight but she had forgotten about it! So she told the random lady to come to dinner at our house, too.

She figured she'd be safe because she'd just get the roommates to join her expanding dinner party. BAD NEWS: every single roommate ditched her! So it was just the THREE of them for dinner and the random lady brought a bottle of wine! LOL.

Is this why girls shouldn't be asking guys out?

Where I've Been...

Well, world wide web, it's time to share with you another classic example of why mormon girls stay single...or at least why this one does.

I WENT FOR A GENTILE!!!

Seriously. How did I find the ONE non-member in Utah County? And why, after I found him, did I love him?????

So I decided I would try out the old motto "flirt to convert" when I met a handsome young(-ish) man while in line at The Rio. We laughed and talked and before I knew it we were eating together!! Imagine my surprise when he used THE SWEARS during our convo! Quickly I realized he was indeed a gentile, and I decided that it would be okay for me to still spend time with him, seeing how good looking he was.

A month later he had taken up all of my time and I was having to remind myself that this would go nowhere! Luckily, it did go nowhere, and I am back to the BLOGGING world and to the world of dating mormon men. Boys, get excited. :)
